In recent times (as well as in the past!) this has been a great place to be! But - and it's only a small 'but' (however, if you've met me you'd probably say it's a BIG but!! LOL) - some decent threads can get lost when personal conversations take place between two people as it takes over a thread.

You must admit that it's annoying if you've been contributing to a proper discussion and you then have to wade through pages and pages of to-and-fro one-word comments to find the last proper post!

This is a great forum and the banter here is absolutely brilliant but personally speaking I would prefer that people didn't use some threads like a personal message board. But, as I said, this is MY OWN opinion - if the majority disagree then fine

When DM gets back, I will ask him about the possibility of public message boards for members (as proposed by Kate).

Over to you - what do you guys think?

fair one....I hear that. The chatroom facility should be more prominent on the site maybe so a lot of idle banter could be done in there perhaps?...better interaction too methinks....I'm happy with whatever. It can get a bit boring at times but I exercise patience. I don't really want to repeat my opinions anyway...hence the less exhausting posts.

Plugged this site on myspace anyway.

I think if there was more discussion going on from more members, there'd be a lot less one on one discussions. When it gets slow, people tend to chat with the members that are most active and it seems like it's turning into some conversation or something. I don't think that would happen if more people would express their opinion. Not matter how small. That's just my theory on it.

Also, I have absolutely no problems with Raxo or anyone elses posts. It takes a few second to scan through posts. I can tell right away if there's something of interest or not. No big deal. I'm glad he is an enthusiastic poster. Keep it up Raxo!

It's only people having fun, communicating with each other about the Beatles - and sometimes communicate just for the fun of it, whether there are some not-too-precious posts or not - so what?
No one has that many portentous things to say all of the time, I think not one of us can be excluded from that.
There certainly are members who are more informed about the Beatles than others. Some are real collectors and have a huge knowledge of almost everything concerning the Beatles. I know a lot, but my interest in the Beatles is a little different to other members, mainly because I'm a girly

It's a forum with damn good people in it! So just let it be

Yep, as I said, it's totally a personal thing and obviously it bugs some people more than others and with some it doesn't bug them at all!

I'm honestly not trying to force a massive change or anything because there's no need. I would just say, for the sake of TOTAL harmony among ALL members, maybe we could sometimes use PMs instead of using a thread. I'm not pointing the finger at anyone in particular - I have been as much to blame as anyone! - I'm just saying this for the sake of those amongst us (including me) who find it a bit annoying reading through two people's chat to get back to the proper topic.

Above all, this is a VERY small complaint - not even a complaint really, more a 'plaint!!

If I didn't love it here I wouldn't be here!

I'll never leave, but i've been pretty dormant for awhile now (as members are saying thank god to themselves) and its nobodys fault but mine. Its just one of those moments in life where theres a lot on the plate and my concentration has been gobbled up by it. This place has been awesome as of late about keeping the fighting and crap to an all time low, but i'm afraid its going to take a good knock down, drag out brawl to get me back into the game.

(now which one of you people are first)
