John Lennon Plastic Ono Band is the greatest solo album by any former Beatle with few equals since it's creatively, musically, artistically & lyrically John at his finest which he never surpassed again as a solo artist with Imagine being the second greatest solo album by a former Beatle!
I want you, I want you so bad babe. I want you, I want you so bad. It's driving me mad, it's driving me mad.
i like 331/3 don't know why but i seem to float around on the others but this one remains a constant source of happy for me.maybe it was the era in which it was released i revel........i also enjoy wings over america and beaucoups of blues
My vote goes to POB. I think its my favorite album ever, really.
I understand about the "party music" appeal, but that doesn't really constitute a great album, does it? I hope not. I think its just the quality of the material on the album, and the extent to which that quality affects you. All these kinds of things are purely subjective, yet fun- at times. But I kind of enjoy music that really shakes me up and makes me think and sort of "disturbs" me the most. In fact, the White Album is my fave Beatles album because I got this reaction from it the first time I heard it.
But, you know, different strokes for different folks.
I voted for All Things Must Pass for the sheer amount of quality tracks. If John would have finished the songs from Milk and Honey and combined them with Doulble Fantasy and ditched Yokos tracks then that would have been the ultimate solo album.
